Agently Helper (Desktop)¶
Agently Helper is a desktop tool to help you quickly understand and test Agently’s core request capabilities without building a full project first.
What it’s for¶
- Multi-model management and switching: compare providers/models quickly.
- Prompt style switching: try different prompt patterns and see how they affect outputs.
- Structured output: validate schemas and field completeness.
- Streaming output: preview
delta/structured streaming behavior in real time.

Recommended learning path¶
Use the Helper to “feel” the effect first, then read the matching step-by-step chapter:
- Settings →
examples/step_by_step/01-settings.py - Prompt methods →
examples/step_by_step/02-prompt_methods.py - Output format control →
examples/step_by_step/03-output_format_control.py - Streaming →
examples/step_by_step/06-streaming.py
What you’ll learn¶
- How output constraints change model behavior
- What “instant parsing” feels like in real time
- How to switch providers/models safely
Exercises¶
- Switch between two models and compare streaming latency and style.
- Define a structured schema and verify required fields are produced.
